Activity 4: How do germs travel?
One type of germ is a virus. Colds and the flu are both caused by viruses. Influenza is the virus that causes the flu. There are many types, or "strains," of influenza. Germs travel from person to person in three ways. They can float through the air. They can stick to the surfaces people touch. And they can travel in body fluids like saliva, tears, or blood. Watch the video to see how germs travel.
